Spain – In search of veg at the Picos de Europa

The Picos de Europa is a mountain range in the north of Spain. It’s the lesser traveled road, a world away from the hotter, busier south. I spent a week in the region recently visiting my brother and amongst sight-seeing and surfing I was, as always, on a mission to find interesting vegetables. There was plenty in the supermarkets – complete giants! To my suprise though there was also some of the prettiest vegetable plots I’ve ever seen. Natural in their setting and style.

…and in the most unlikeliest of places!

We loved seeing all the citrus fruit growing on the trees in Lagos, we saw fields and fields of them, a really beautiful sight
